Stella Point at 5,756m marks the crater rim on the southeastern side of Kibo. For climbers ascending from Barafu Camp, reaching Stella Point is a major milestone as the steep scree scramble gives way to a gentler walk along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak, approximately 45 minutes further.
