Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about climbing Kilimanjaro with us.
The best months are January–March and June–October. These dry seasons offer clearer skies and better trail conditions. We run expeditions year-round, but summit success rates are highest during these windows.
You don't need to be an elite athlete, but good cardiovascular fitness is important. We recommend starting training 3–6 months before your climb with regular hiking, cardio, and strength exercises. We provide a detailed training guide upon booking.
All park fees, professional guides and porters, all meals on the mountain, camping equipment, airport transfers, emergency oxygen, and a summit certificate. See each package page for the full inclusions list.
No technical climbing experience is required for Kilimanjaro. It's a trek, not a technical climb. However, experience with multi-day hikes at altitude is beneficial. Our guides will teach you everything you need to know.
We provide all camping and group equipment. You'll need personal items: hiking boots, layered clothing, sleeping bag liner, headlamp, and daypack. We send a comprehensive packing list after booking.
Our overall success rate is 98% on 7+ day routes. This is well above the mountain average of 65%. Our high rate comes from proper acclimatization schedules, experienced guides, and health monitoring throughout.
We cap groups at 12 climbers to ensure personalized attention and a quality experience. Each group has a lead guide, assistant guide, and a full porter team (typically 3 porters per climber).
The minimum age for Kilimanjaro is 10 years (park regulation). There's no upper age limit — we've guided climbers in their 70s to the summit. A medical clearance is required for climbers over 65.
Our guides monitor your health twice daily using pulse oximeters. We follow proven acclimatization protocols ("climb high, sleep low"). Emergency oxygen is carried on every expedition, and we have evacuation plans in place.
We accept all major credit cards via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). A 30% deposit secures your booking, with the balance due 60 days before your climb date. Full refund available up to 90 days before departure.
